Test During Commissioning



A commissioning test video for a wooden chips circular vibrating screen, which will be delivered to Thailand. After assembly, each set machine muct be test running in our workshop. During commissioning, the Quality Control Engineer will inspect each technical parameters, to guarantee the equipment be qualified.

What is the selection notice of rotary vibrating screen?

1.Size of working area: rotary vibrating screen is circular, sieve surface area will effect of screening yield, so screening efficiency and yield can be improved by increasing the screening area. So the size of the field is one of the keys to the vibration screening.
2.Material characteristics: material properties,flowability and size.
3.Construction material : because of the different sieving materials, the construction material is also different, for example: food, salt, sugar and other related food industries, the whole machine material is SUS304. One reason is that hardness,thickness and wear resistance of 304 material are better, besides, polished stainless steel is bright like a mirror, the surface is clean and health, maintenance is very convenient which do not affect the material quality after screening. If the material is chemical, metallurgical and other raw materials, you can choose Q235 material, which not only save cost but also not affect the use.
4.Screen mesh can be divided into two kinds: stainless steel and carbon steel.
The shape and size of rotary vibrating screen are different generally based on the actual application and the on-site condition, and can be designed according to the requirements of clients to meet special circumstances. Common types of rotary vibrating screen: XZS-800mm, XZS-1000mm, XZS-1200mm, XZS-1500mm, XZS-1800mm, etc.

What is the Helpful installation tips of vibrating feeders?

Vibrating feeder is generally used for evenly, regularly feeding, distributing bulk material in different production lines to guarantee the steady connecting between the upper and bottom equipment. When feeder model is small with little capacity, the drive device can be 2 sets vibrating moor; while the feeder model is large with heavy capacity, the driven device can be 2 sets motor and vibrating exciter. It will be selected according to the actual technical requirements.
In addition, vibrating feeder can be designed to be seated type or hanging type according to the on-site working condition and installation space.
When vibrating feeder is installed under the hopper or silo outlet, and there is no enough or suitable installation foundation for vibrating feeder, it can be hanged with hanging devices to save the installation space,which makes the equipment connecting more easier.
If the customers require seated type,vibrating feeder should be installed on embedded foundation.
If the material size is very small,similar like powder, dust etc. The vibrating feeder can be enclosed with dust hole and connect the dust collector in system to protect the environment.

What reasons lead to material accumulation phenomenon of vibrating screen?

Some customers said material accumulation phenomenon occurred in the use process of vibrating screen, according to many years of analysis experience, the reasons can be summed up in four aspects:
1.There is a problem of vibrating screen mesh selection, too small mesh will cause a low rate of material passing through the mesh.
2. Check whether the ground level of the vibrating screen is flat or not, besides,high material inlet will affect the material running track, resulting in material tilting to one side.

3.Check whether the screen mesh and outlet are horizontal or higher than outlet or not, under normal circumstances, it should be horizontal or 6mm higher, the design is not the same according to different material discharging outlet.
4.There is a problem on the vibration motor angle adjustment, improper angle adjustment of vibration motor will cause material accumulation, if the angle is small,the material will spread outward quickly on the sieve surface,while if the angle is large, the spreading speed will be slow. If you have strict requirements of screening accuracy, the angle can not be too small so as not to affect the screening precision. In general, the vibration motor angle of the vibrating screen is 45 degrees when leaves the factory.
Users can also change the vibration motor angle to 100 degrees according to the the special requirements of the material ,and then material will be concentrated to the central screen mesh.

How to choose the suitable vibration motor for the vibration machine?

Vibration motor has many types and models with a wide application,it is usually applied with the feeder, vibrating screen combination. The vibration motor is very important in the vibration machine. It directly determines the working efficiency of the vibration machine.The vibration mechanical vibration motor selection steps are as follows:
A.According to the operating requirements, confirm the required vibration of the frequency (r/min) and the amplitude Ym (mm).
Such as the six vibration motor (n=960r /min) can drive the vibration chute, vibration feeder, vibration mill, vibrating screen etc.
B.According to the structure of the vibration machine itself, get the vibration weight G (kg) and calculate the required vibration force Fm (N) .
C.According to the vibration of the operation to get Fm, you can get the model of the vibration motor, please pay attention to the exciting force FH is larger than Fm.
D.Design the overall structure, and calculate the actual vibration parameters, after the calculation, if the vibration motor is too large or too small, motor model should be re-selected.

How to solve problem of damp material blockage occurs in vibrating screen?

Installation notice of circular vibrating screen punching mesh

General screen meshes include manganese steel woven wire mesh, punching mesh and stainless steel screen plate etc. Each kind mesh should be selected according to the on-site working condition. Today we will talk about the installation of punching screen mesh.
The punching screen mesh installation method for circular vibrating screen is the same with dewatering screen.
Generally speaking, the slurry dewatering screen is horizontally installed,however, in order to guarantee the application effect, the screen mesh is installed with a negative angle. The screen mesh can be polyurethane material with tension type installation, or stainless steel bar screen mesh with compression type to meet different working conditions.

Circular vibrating screen is installed with angle, when adopt the punching screen mesh, it needs lumps of wood to press tightly, then tension with wood key . Please see the following sketch: 
If the screen mesh tension is not enough, it will bring negative influence:
1.The screen mesh is easy to bend and the screen mesh will slack and easy to revibrate. Meanwhile it will reduce the screen mesh service life. 
2.It will influence the effective screen surface, reduce the screening efficiency.
3.It will stop the material moving forward and reduce the capacity.
In this regard,in order to guarantee the smooth screen mesh , increase the service life and guarantee the capacity and screening efficiency, the tension of screen mesh must be improved.

Improve dry or wet screening efficiency of vibrating screen

Following methods can improve screening efficiency of vibrating screen:

1.For dry screening,we should strictly control the water content,for material with high water content,please consider screening with ingredients.
2.Reduce the of plugged hole,we can consider using the self-cleaning sieve plate,for example,for spring rod type screen mesh surface,we can add a prevent blockage device below the screen.
3.Improve the aperture percentage,high aperture percentage is beneficial to improve the screening effect.
4.Adjust the feeding way.Material can be fed according to the sieve surface width and ensure the sieve surface can be fully utilized.
5.If possible,please consider the dip angle of the screen machine,suitable angle is beneficial to reduce the thickness of material and achieve thin material screening.
6.For circular vibrating screen,we can consider adjusting the balance weight to improve the screening effect.
7.If possible, coarse screening before feeding material.
8.If possible, we can adopt wet screening,it’s the most effective way to improve the screening effect.

What factors affect vibrating screen purchase?

Please consider the following factors when purchase vibrating screen
A.Physical property of the material
Including material particle size, shape, moisture content, bulk density ,property ,etc. When the particle size is fine and mesh size is small, the screen efficiency will be lower, we need to select larger model for same capacity; when the moisture content is big, in general, the screen efficiency will be lower. However,if the mesh size is bigger, the influence of moisture content will be less; when the material with corrosion property, the material contacts parts usually need to be SUS 304 or whole machine is SUS304.

B.Screen surface character and structure
In general, if the material do vertical movement on the screen surface (such as linear vibrating screen,etc), the screen efficiency will be higher and the capacity is larger. If the material do reciprocating movement on the screen surface (such as gyratory screen,etc),the screen efficiency and capacity will be lower.
For certain material, the screen efficiency and capacity rate are determined by the mesh size. The screen efficiency is determined by the screen surface length, the longer screen surface length is, the higher screen efficiency will be; the capacity rate is determined by the screen surface width, the bigger screen surface width is, the higher capacity rate will be. 
C.Production condition
The screen efficiency will be lower when the load on the vibrating screen is big.Uniform feeding material also has a big influence on the screen efficiency. (For this question, PK Machinery designs a distributor above the inlet of vibrating screen to achieve uniform material feeding).

How to Adjust the Excitation Force of Vibration Feeder?

Due to the errors of previous parameters that clients offer and the material granularity and processing capacity per hour of actual production, clients can adjust the motor excitation force according to the following description in order to change the capacity vibration feeder.
The shaft for each end of vibration motor has a fixed eccentric block and an adjustable eccentric block, you can adjust excitation force by adjusting the angle between fixed eccentric block and adjustable eccentric block according to the needs,see table 1 and table 2.

Please switch off the power before adjusting the excitation force of the vibration motor. Remember, when adjusting the excitation force, the two vibration motor eccentric block position should stay the same , in case of imbalance phenomenon,and causing damage to vibration feeder. So generally it needs 10 mins to adjust the excitation force, after that you can switch on the vibration motor and adjust the eccentric block angle.

How to Select the Driven Device for Linear Vibrating Screen ?

Linear vibrating screen can achieve dry and wet screening,and also can achieve automation work on the working site. Here PK Machinery will talk about the driven device selection for linear vibrating screen. 
With regard to the material like ceramic, food, etc with small density,capacity and vibrating screen model, generally the screen surface length is <3000mm, screen surface width is <1200mm, and the weight of the vibrating screen is relative light, under such circumstances, the driven device of 2 sets vibrating motors rotate oppositely at the same time will be adopted. Motor installation on the bottom, upside or both sides of the screen equipment can be optional.

While the material like coal, mineral, building material, etc with large density, capacity and the required vibrating screen model, generally the screening surface length is >3600mm, screen surface width is >1500mm, and the weight is heavy. Under such circumstances, the driven device of 2 sets motors drive 2 sets vibrating exciter will be adopted. Vibrating exciters will rotate in different directions which can be installed on the bottom or the upside, then produce vibrating exciting force to achieve screening.

3 Brilliant Ways Help You to Prevent Trommel Screen Mesh Blockage

On 30th October, we received a feedback from a Kazakhstan customer that screen blockage occurred in the operation process of trommel screen,the screening effect is very poor. Meanwhile,we asked customer to send us the on site operation photographs and found out the blockage was caused by the high humidity screening material, here our engineers gives relevant solutions to prevent blockage as follows:

What should we notice when use linear vibrating screen for the first time?

Firstly, check if there is bolt looseness of the linear vibrating screen.
Secondly, remove four fixed plates of all the springs on the linear vibrating screen in order to protect the machine from scratch during transportation process.
Thirdly, read the manual carefully and check the components before testing the linear vibrating screen.
Besides,please also note the following important notes:
1.Since vibration motor works continuously, it needs to be filled with oil regularly .
2.Check if there is screen mesh damage when the machine stops working.
3.As some users may choose wood net rack, please also check if there is screen frame damage. Compared with steel net rack, the wood net rack is easy to replace screen mesh,however, the life span is much shorter.

Installation and Commissioning of YA Circular Vibrating Screen

1.Before installation,please refer to the installation drawing of concrete foundation, embedded anchor bolts or embedded steel plate ,the flatness error should be less than 3mm.
2.After the completion of installation, please check and adjust the levels of spring to make sure supporting position is under uniform stress. The motor axis should be 3-5mm lower than the axis of the vibrator, the height of support spring symmetric point should be equal (error ≤ 3 mm).
3. Each part of the vibrating screen should be firmly connected, all bolts should be tightened before start running.
4. Adjust the eccentric vibrator angle which can realize the adjustment of the excitation force, so as to adjust the amplitude of vibrating screen.
5. The distance between the vibrating screen and other obstacles should be less than 100mm.

Operation and Maintenance of YA Circular Vibrating Screen

1.Before starting up circular vibrating screen, please check whether the fastening bolts are loose or not, if there is looseness,please tighten at once.
2.Non-load running for 4 to 6 hours to achieve the requirements of smooth screen body , no yaw and abnormal sound , the vibrator bearing temperature is less than or equal to 75℃.
3.After non-load running, please tighten the screw bolt again.
4.Once the operation becomes normal, check the fixture condition of the fastening bolts regularly.
5.Check the wearing parts frequently, the damping spring which is damaged spring or without elasticity,please replace timely. If the screen occurs fracture or wear, please tighten or replace the spring at once. The adjustment,use and maintenance of vibration source, please refer to vibration source instructions. (please oil the vibration motor after using for 3 months, oil the exciter every month, repair every half year, overhaul every year).
6.Stop feeding the material before stopping running the machine, stop the machine after the material on screen surface are completely discharged.

What Should We Pay Attention to the Selection of Vibrating Screen Coupling

Vibrating screen coupling is commonly used in mechanical transmission components. It is used to put two shaft coupling together, a component which cannot separate with rotation and transmission torque of two shafts when the vibrating screen is running; only after the machine stop and after joint apart, two shafts can be separated. Coupling is a kind of standard part, when using we can choose coupling according to the requirements of national standards and the using requirements.

Due to the manufacturing and installation error, two shafts of coupling connection may occur deformation after bearing and the influence of temperature change, often cannot guarantee strict centring, however, there is some degree of relative displacement. So choose cross coupling between the reducer and the clutch, oldham coupling is composed of two end surface fluted half coupling and the middle plate of protruding teeth both sides. Because convex teeth can slide in groove, so it can compensate for the relative displacement between the two shafts in installation and operation. This kind material of coupling parts can be available for 45# steel, work surface needs heat treatment to improve its hardness. It is also available for Q275 steel when the requirement is lower, no heat treatment is required. In order to reduce friction and tear, when using we should lubricate from the oil hole in the middle.
Because sliding pair is consist of half coupling and the middle plate, which can't occur relative rotation, therefore, angular velocity of the drive shaft and the driven shaft should be equal. But when there are relative displacement between the two shafts, middle plate will generate a lot of centrifugal force, which will increase the dynamic load and wear. Therefore when we choose coupling, we should pay attention to that working speed shall not be greater than the specified value.

What Screen is Used in the Feed Industry--the Gyratory Screen

The Operation Specification of Vibration Platform

Using Introduction:
1. Before installing the vibration platform, please lay a good foundation, then install it, when installation, the fixed bolts must be tightened.
2. Before test run the well-installed vibration table, first 3-5 minutes start-up to check all the fastening bolts, if loose, should be tightened.
3. In the process, concrete products should be firmly fixed on the vibration table, and be symmetrical with the platform to balance the load. Users can design their own vibrated product fastening device according to their needs.
4. Vibrator bearings should be inspected and cleaned regularly and maintain a good lubrication of the bearing to prolong the service life of the vibrator.
5. Vibration table should be reliable grounded to ensure safety.

Operating Regulations:
1. Before using the vibration platform, 3 ~ 5 min non-load test first, then stop and tighten all fastening parts, 2 ~ 3 times repeatedly, it can be put into operation.
2. When using vibration table, the test mode of concrete specimens must be securely fixed on the working platform. In order to balance the load, test mode must be placed symmetrically with the center line of the table.。 
3. Vibration motor should be grounded well and reliably.

4. In the production process, if vibration table sound is abnormal, please stop using immediately, unplug the power and fully inspect whether the fasteners are loose or not, check whether the inner eccentric vibration block of motor is loose or damaged, if necessary, tighten the loose parts and replace the damaged parts.
5. After using, please turn off the power, clean the vibration table surface. 

Application of Dewatering Screen in Beneficiation Process of Potash Feldspar

Recently, most of manufacturers choose spiral classifier and pressure filter to dehydrate potash feldspar during dehydration process. But there are some disadvantages, spiral classifier cannot classify materials completely and pressure filter needs large investment. What’s more, if users adopt spiral classifier to deal with the separation of residue water during the production of potash feldspar, it will cause the finished materials containing too much water so that the materials cannot be dry heaping. It is found that if users adopt dewatering screen instead of spiral classifier, the water content of potash feldspar will be less than 15% after dewatering by dewatering screen and the materials can achieve dry heaping effect. Furthermore, it can increase recovery rate of finished products because the dewatering screen can elect fine sand which will lose caused by spiral classifier.

There are two applications for dewatering screen used in beneficiation process of potash feldspar, one is used for classification of potash feldspar which is processed by ball mill, another is used for dewatering of potash feldspar products. In the traditional production process, it always uses pressure filter to deal with this kind of materials during the dewatering process of potash feldspar products. But this kind of production technical has large energy consumption, lower working efficiency and higher water content. While if users adopt dewatering screen to deal with potash feldspar, it can improve the production efficiency greatly, also can reduce energy consumption and floor space.

The Tin Powder Screening Problem for Ultrasonic Vibration Sieve

1.The output powder efficiency of ultrasonic vibration sieve is low, there is no finish powder or less after sieving, if this kind of situation appears, we need to check the performance of ultrasonic acoustic, whether it is due to the poor quality, resulting in screen mesh blockage, causing the finished powder cannot be sieved out.
2.Larger and smaller size of tin powder exceed the standard, when confronted with the problem, we first need to check screen mesh of ultrasonic vibration screen, uneven powder size mostly may be due to poor quality of screen mesh, aperture size is not same when manufacturers make the screen mesh, or some parts of screen mesh are damaged after long time use, here it requires us select standard and qualified screen mesh from the regular manufacturers, regular check of screen damage is also required.

3. The oxygen content of tin powder is excessive of the standard, it is mainly because of poor sealing ,which lead to air leakage, it is necessary to ensure good sealing and check whether the sealing ring and other sealing place are qualified or not, vibration sieve rubber sealing ring after long time use, it will occur deformation or a series of problems which results in the increase of oxygen content in tin powder. Therefore, check the sealing ring regularly, especially in the case of high temperature in the summer.
4. Unstable ultrasonic vibration screen will cause the screen mesh heating and screen plugging seriously, before using ultrasonic vibration sieve, please select and set the vibration motor power well, check the equipment adjustment flexibility and check if discharging outlet is smooth or not.

For points listed above, you will find the tin screening is a impregnable problem. Application and Difference of Shaft and Shaftless Trommel Screen

There are 2 kinds structure of trommel screen. One is trommel screen with shaft, the other is shaftless trommel screen. Generally both of them can be applied in some common bulk material, however, for material with special property, we must pay more attention to select a more suitable model according to the application working condition.
Trommel screen with shaft: 
The drum is installed aslope on the main frame. The motor and gearbox connect the drum through a coupling and rotates around an axis. After the material fed into the drum, the material can move forward and rotate due to the inclination and rotation of drum. The qualified material will be discharged from the bottom hopper, and the unqualified material will be discharged from the end outlet. As the material rotates in the drum, which make the blocked material bounced out of the aperture to prevent the mesh blocking.
Trommel screen with shaft is generally used for screening granular material with large density, such as: sand, coal, limestone, fertilizer, compost and mineral, etc.

Shaftless trommel screen: 
The shaftless trommel screen is installed horizontally. The drum is rotated driven by motor wheel gear or motor chain. Generally the rotate speed is very slow and the drum length can be designed longer, which can increase the screening efficiency. In the drum internal wall, there is a delivery plate ( sometimes screw type) to make the material move forward. The material which is larger than mesh size will be discharged at the end outlet, and the material which is smaller than mesh size will be discharged at the bottom discharge hopper. If the material is household garbage, we can also add a cutting tool, which can rive some plactis bags, etc. 
Shaftless tromme screen is generally used for screeninig material with small density, such as: waste, wooden chips, activated carbon, fertilizer, construction material, chemical material, etc.

VIBRATION PLATFORM
The problem of vibration which cannot meet the vibration motor in the running of the equipment, also can never be solved, that is uneven and unbalance of the vibration. The influence of the unbalanced vibration in the screening equipment is less, while the influence will often appear in making the vibration table. However in the reality, the unbalanced force of vibration equipment is often neglected by us.
1. In the use of a single vibration motor on the vibration table, it can appear the problem of motor rotation, the material will move on the surface of vibration table.
2. In the use two vibrating motors, it will change the uniform vibration point of the vibration table. Due to counter rotation of two motors , it will offset the power in the middle of the vibration table. If the vibration amplitude around the platform is 5mm, the vibration amplitude in the center of the table can't be over 3mm.

Difference between ultrasonic vibration sieve and ordinary rotary vibrating screen

Compared with rotary vibrating screenultrasonic vibration sieve is equipped with a ultrasonic generator, with self-cleaning function ,the mesh is not easy to block, it is no need to add bouncing balls and other anti blockage device. Ultrasonic vibrating screen is particularly suitable for screening fine powder and light weight material with mesh size larger than 300 mesh.

Ultrasonic screening system is composed of ultrasonic resonant power supply, oscillator and resonance ring. The ultrasonic resonant powder supply will generate longitudinal oscillating wave which will transmit to the resonance ring to produce a resonance, and then the vibration will be transmitted to the screen mesh evenly through the resonance ring. While material on the screen mesh does three dimensional vibration movement in the low-frequency, it will overlap the ultrasonic vibration which can prevent the mesh plug and improve the screening yield and screening quality. 
The performance characteristics of ultrasonic vibrating screen: it can sieve the heavy, light, ultra-fine, strong adsorption powder (almost all of the powder is effective) that ordinary rotary vibrating screen can’t sieve. Compared with ordinary rotary vibrating screen, the material passing rate of ultrasonic vibrating screen will be increased by 50%-400%, the performance is as follows:
(1). Reduce screen mesh cleaning time;
(2). No pollution of powder that generated by bouncing ball and other auxiliary materials;
(3). Keep the screen mesh size, stable precision screening; 
(4). Reduce the material stuck on screen mesh size;
(5). Reduce screening frequency.
